Jimmy grew up in the hills of East Tennessee (where the world branches out according to one of his old college professors😊). He loves the outdoors, especially fishing in the Florida Keys. He is a graduate of the Haz Waste Mgmt program at Roane State in 1990, and the Environmental Health program at East TN State University (the Harvard of the South!) in 1992. His over 3 decades of environmental experience includes time spent at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Nuclear Fuel Services, and private environmental/engineering firms. He opened Wingfield Environmental in 2005 with an all-star team and has enjoyed every minute since then strengthening relationships with existing customers, and meeting new ones.
Chris grew up in Southwest Virginia and graduated from Radford University in 1995 with a degree in Environmental Studies/Geology. He started his career doing GIS in Jacksonville, Florida. Chris moved to the Tri Cities in 1996 and later married a beautiful East TN girl. They now have two grown teenagers. He has worked in the environmental field for approximately 29 years with the last 20 years being at Wingfield Environmental since the startup in 2005.
Josh was born and raised in east Tennessee. He earned a B.S. in Geology and a B.S in Environmental Health from East Tennessee State University. As the youngest member of the company, he brings over 10 years of environmental experience to the team. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and giving back to the communities that shaped him through charity events across East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Kentucky.
Matt grew up in Greene County, TN and moved to Knoxville in 1991 to attend the real UT. While at UT he worked in the Environmental Department at Philips Electronics. Matt graduated in 1996 from UTK with a double major of Geology and Environmental Studies. He then went on to work as a Geologist/Environmental Consultant in 1997 and recently joined the Wingfield team in 2025. Matt lives in South Knoxville with his wife of 25 years and two teenage daughters. When not working, you can find Matt hiking/biking throughout Knoxville’s Urban Wilderness trails or on the local rivers in his kayak, attempting to fish.
Janeen is a proud Yankee transplant who no longer winces when asked to say “park the car.” With an associate degree in Accounting and Office Systems Management and more than two decades of experience preparing Tennessee and Virginia UST reimbursement claims, she brings precision, persistence, and a steady hand to every project. Her background in bookkeeping and regulatory compliance ensures claims are accurate, organized, and strategically positioned for maximum approval. Outside of work, Janeen enjoys traveling, attending live theatre with her husband, and—her favorite job —spoiling her grandsons.
